API Software Engineering Lead, VP

This role involves managing, leading, mentoring, and building a talented software engineering team to develop top-tier applications, enhance customer experience, and create scalable microservices integrations. You will collaborate with stakeholders across MUFG, driving product implementations, system development, and leveraging emerging technologies. You will promote awareness and adoption of modern architecture patterns, and oversee projects following continuous delivery practices with automated testing pipelines. Responsibilities

Provide strong leadership, people management, and influence skills. Work independently and collaboratively across all management levels. Offer technical guidance on application architecture, mentoring developers, and making strategic technology decisions. Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the enterprise. Deliver results in a highly matrixed environment. Maintain excellent communication skills to articulate findings to diverse audiences. Manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining quality. Work under tight deadlines with a strong work ethic and initiative. Manage resources effectively, including personnel, tools, and budgets. Manage risks and ensure timely issue resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Possess thorough knowledge of complex application design and modern technologies such as Angular, React, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, and cloud infrastructure. Qualifications / Work Experience

Over 5 years in enterprise application management, API development, and microservices using Java, Angular, React, etc. Experience leading teams in Agile environments. Background in banking or financial services preferred. Proven leadership in mobile and web application development, APIs, and DevOps. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Previous Work Experience

Strong organizational skills and resource management. Experience in designing and developing scalable, high-performance applications. Knowledge of mobile, distributed, multi-tier applications, and APIs. Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. Note:
