About the role Meet the complex metrology needs of the semiconductor industry in this customer-facing role at a rapidly growing scale-up. Chips are shrinking, becoming increasingly powerful and complex. Current metrology systems no longer meet process control requirements. Nearfield Instruments offers a solution with speed, precision, and the capability of measuring complex 3D nanostructures. As a field service engineer, you will play a key role in delivering solutions tailored to each customer’s needs.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot issues on NFI products.
Collect and analyze diagnostics data, perform root-cause analysis.
Implement and execute solutions during service or upgrades.
Perform tests, document progress, and improve procedures.
Replace and upgrade spare parts using established procedures.
Create test and calibration procedures.
Order spare parts and tools as needed.
Prepare facilities and tools for service activities.
Maintain and inspect tools and equipment.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of semiconductor metrology tools.
1+ years of fieldwork experience or relevant industry experience.
Affinity with software and controls.
Degree in a relevant field, with experience in the semiconductor industry.
Optional coding skills (Matlab, Python).
Ability to work in a high-tech environment.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Self-driven, independent, and a team player.
