About the Role The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President for Buses to lead and oversee all bus operations and maintenance with a focus on providing safe, reliable, and efficient service to the public. The successful candidate will be the most senior operational executive in the bus department, responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all activities in a manner that meets the company's standards. This role involves significant strategic and managerial responsibilities, including the development of operating plans, policies, and capital programs, as well as the implementation of new technology projects. The Senior Vice President will also be a key advisor to the President and COO on all matters related to bus operations and will represent the company at various service-related forums.
Candidates for this position should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 15 years of related experience, with a minimum of 12 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity. Specialized experience in the company's rules, regulations, and policies, as well as a proven track record of managing a large, diverse workforce and interfacing with government agencies, is essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent strategic, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be adept at problem-solving and decision-making.
