Summary
As a Sr. Controls Engineer, you will lead the design, installation, and maintenance of vendor specific PLC systems.
Responsibilities: Serve as the lead programmer of the automation and controls systems of various manufacturers (Italy, Japan, Korea) Create, monitor, and modify logic for program design, simulation and testing, start-up, and troubleshooting Analyze equipment issues and lead the advancement of equipment programs Perform equipment preventive maintenance Create and track FDC Serve as Subject Matter Expert to improve equipment production Document procedures, including trouble shooting and root cause analysis Collaborate with multiple vendors Provide training to Engineers, Technicians, and Operators Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience Experience:
7+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or automotive engineering environment Experience in Battery systems or processes is desired Experience with C# and Python Skills:
Expert knowledge of controls and electrical systems design, automation, mechanical assemblies, and manufacturing assembly equipment Expert knowledge of electrical systems and Mitsubishi PLC & Pro-face HMI software Proven programming skills Strong mechanical skills Proven problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent time management and the ability to work independently Proactive, resourceful and highly motivated Excellent communication skills Ability to mentor, train, and collaborate with other teams across the organization Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support entire production team Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support and work with HQ and global sites Benefits Overview
