The Junior Project Engineer supports the design, software configuration, documentation, and field implementation of integrated Building Automation and Energy Management Systems (BAS/EMS). This is an early career, hands-on role designed to build technical skills in BAS design, programming, networking, and project execution. Duties and responsibilites: Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (drawings, wiring diagrams, product literature). Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and control applications. Familiarity with or willingness to learn BAS communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LON). Basic understanding of IT and OT networks and servers, including IP addressing, switches, and system integration concepts. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, and AutoCAD for documentation and design support. Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, field-ready mindset. Willingness to travel to customer sites and work in mechanical/electrical environments. Good teamwork and communication skills, with a growth mindset. Bachelors degree (or equivalent technical diploma) in: Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial, Computer, or Building Automation Engineering. Internship or up to 2 years of related experience in BAS, HVAC, controls, or networking is preferred but not required. Training in industry platforms (Automated Logic, Carrier, Train, Alerton, Delta, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Tridium, PLCs etc.) is a plus. US Citizenship required. Salary range $75k-$95K DOE.
