We are seeking a Controls Engineer to troubleshoot, develop, and integrate control systems in support of manufacturing and assembly operations. The employee is expected to perform at the highest standards of quality, strive for maximum customer satisfaction, and continuously seek improvements in methods, practices, and procedures. This role involves working closely with vendors, maintenance teams, and process engineers to develop and maintain automated control and drive systems. Additionally, the engineer will ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures.Troubleshoot issues involving control programs and make necessary modifications for efficient operation of plant machinery.Control and manage PG and laptop devices required for troubleshooting equipment.Formulate action plans to resolve major system issues.Work in partnership with machine vendors, maintenance, and process engineers to develop and improve automated PLC control and drive systems.Make recommendations for system improvements as needed.Act as a point of escalation for troubleshooting efforts.Utilize control systems to improve machine uptime.Establish protocols and manage system access, backups, and data recovery.Perform electrical troubleshooting and wiring tasks.Set up and enhance existing control systems.Troubleshoot and adjust robotic automation systems.Maintain a comprehensive inventory of machine software packages and ensure software updates are obtained and installed as needed.Partner with the IT department to ensure line servers are properly maintained and updated.Maintain compliance with Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space Entry, and other safety standards.Ensure adherence to OSHA, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and all relevant industry regulations.Identify environmental aspects related to department operations and support Environmental Management Plan (EMP) goals through training, engagement, and communication.Education & Skill Requirements:Associate s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 4 years of related experience, orBachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2 years of related experience.Understanding of logic control and the ability to manipulate logic for problem-solving.Proficiency in applying statistical techniques and mathematical operations.Strong knowledge of controls communication protocols.Solid foundation in electrical concepts and troubleshooting methodologies.Ability to effectively communicate technical information.Hands-on experience with: Siemens S7 Programming, TIA Portal Programming, RS Logix 500 & Studio 5000, HMI Programming, Robotics troubleshooting and programmingWork Environment:The employee must follow all safety regulations and operating procedures at all times.Compliance with PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements is mandatory.The role may involve exposure to an industrial environment, requiring adherence to safety protocols and risk mitigation measures.Active participation in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace in accordance with regulatory standards.This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment where automation and control systems play a critical role in operational success.
