We are seeking a skilled Transmission Planner to join our team in Tampa or Palm Beach. This role focuses on leading transmission system planning, ensuring the integration of renewable energy solutions, and complying with industry standards such as NERC. Youll also mentor junior engineers while contributing to system modernization efforts. Key Responsibilities: Lead transmission system planning and analysis to ensure compliance with NERC standards and other regulatory requirements. Perform steady-state, transient, and dynamic analyses to ensure system reliability and alignment with operational standards. Collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders to implement system upgrades and manage new interconnections. Mentor junior engineers by reviewing their work and providing guidance on technical reports, power flow models, and study results. Required Qualifications: A degree in Electrical Engineering and an active Professional Engineer (PE) license. 812 years of experience in transmission planning within the utility or consulting sectors. Proficiency with power system analysis tools, including PSS/E, TARA, PSLF, and PowerWorld. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to present technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
