Introduction Your role and responsibilities Network Support Engineer, IBM Corporation, Dallas, TX (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted): Automate and debug common network function.

Answer detailed technical questions relating to Cisco branded and Juniper branded routing and switching.

Determine and pinpoint design faults in pre-sales and post-sales scenarios.

Maintain and update environments, dependencies, and Application Programming Interface (APIs) as required.

Work on Webexs and live troubleshooting.

Iterate on existing dashboarding and triage processes.

Debug proprietary provisioning automation issues with partner teams.

Resolve issues involving VMWare-branded NSX implementations.

Troubleshoot direct link product using BGP application settings.

Resolve issues with OSPF and OSPF distribution.

Analyze MSTP design and break fix any operational issues as needed.

Locate and resolve issues involving gateway technologies.

Debug routing issues between service providers.

Utilize: Routing Protocols (Multi-Label Packet Switching (MPLS), RSVP, LDP, MPLS traffic switching); Switching Protocols (VXLAN); Security Protocols (IPsec VPN, MSS, MTU, and GRE); Python, IDEs, JunOS, Wireshark.

Required: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related and two (2) years of experience as a Network Engineer or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing Routing Protocols (Multi-Label Packet Switching (MPLS), RSVP, LDP, MPLS traffic switching); Switching Protocols (VXLAN); Security Protocols (IPsec VPN, MSS, MTU, and GRE); Python, IDEs, JunOS, Wireshark. $113715 to $142800 per year.
