Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Business Analyst to serve as the
critical liaison between business stakeholders and technical development
teams. This role will drive the translation of complex business requirements
into actionable technical solutions while ensuring seamless delivery of
Salesforce enhancements and new features.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document
detailed functional requirements
Translate business processes into clear, actionable user stories and
acceptance criteria
Collaborate with cross-functional teams within client and Land
Leaders to understand workflow needs
Maintain requirements traceability throughout project lifecycles
Story Writing & Backlog Management
Write comprehensive user stories with clear acceptance criteria in
collaboration with Product Owners and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
Lead backlog refinement sessions to prioritize and prepare stories for
sprint planning
Work closely with technical teams during story design and pointing
sessions to ensure accurate effort estimation
Facilitate pre-sprint planning activities to optimize sprint velocity and
delivery predictability
Ensure stories are properly refined with technical feasibility
assessments before sprint commitment
Technical Coordination & Documentation
Utilize JIRA for story creation, backlog management, and sprint
planning coordination
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation in Confluence
Work closely with UI/UX teams to provide technical expertise and feedback on design proposals Support technical leads and developers with data loading scripts and environment preparation Quality Assurance & Testing Coordinate with testing teams across multiple environments (Development, QA, UAT, Production) Lead user acceptance testing activities and facilitate business sign-off for production deployments Serve as first line of defense for production issue triage and resolution Conduct thorough bug analysis and coordinate remediation efforts Salesforce Platform Excellence Design and build reports and dashboards to support business intelligence needs Lead data cleanup initiatives and manage data loading activities for lower environments Provide Salesforce technical expertise for workflow automation and process standardization Support platform enhancements including security improvements and integration projects Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in business, Information Systems, or related field 5+ years of business analysis experience with significant Salesforce platform exposure Expert proficiency in JIRA and Confluence for project management and documentation Strong experience in Agile story writing, backlog refinement, and sprint planning processes Proven ability to work with Product Owners and SMEs to define clear acceptance criteria
Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, workflows, and reporting capabilities Experience with data management, ETL processes, and environment management Proven track record in UAT coordination and production support Preferred Qualifications Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Business Analyst, or Platform App Builder) Experience with land and resource management or utility industry processes Knowledge of working with MuleSoft for integrations between Salesforce and other systems Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies with certified Scrum Master or Product Owner credentials Key Competencies Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for business audiences Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to story design details Expert facilitation skills for backlog refinement and cross-functional collaboration Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills Collaborative approach with cross-functional team leadership experience Proactive mindset with ability to anticipate and mitigate project risks This role offers the opportunity to drive significant business impact through Salesforce platform optimization and serves as a critical bridge between business needs and technical execution, with a focus on delivering high- quality, well-defined work packages that enable predictable sprint delivery
