Req#: 23-000714-0001 GRADE: 18 LOCATION OF POSITION: Queen Anne's County Health Department, 205 N. Liberty St., Centreville MD, 21617 Main Purpose of Job: Provides licensed level of work with the full range of counseling and supervisory duties for clients with substance use and co-occurring diagnosis. Position performed under managerial supervision of the Deputy Health Officer or designee. Manages clinical program designed to meet the needs of special populations in Queen Anne's County for Substance Use and Co-occurring Disorders. Participates with Deputy Health Officer or designee and other key staff in long-range planning for services. Represents the department in relationships with local, state, and national programs in fields of mental health, co-occurring, and substance use related disorders to ensure excellent provision of programming in the jurisdiction for clients and their families. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling, or a related field. Experience: Six years professional experience in health services, three years must have been in Addiction professional work related to treatment and services to persons with alcohol or other substance addiction, and four years must have been at the managerial or supervisory level. Notes: 1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Masters degree or Doctorate degree in a health or human services field from an accredited college or university for up to two years of the required general experience. 2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in another field plus an additional year of professional experience in health services may be substituted for the required education. 3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Health Services Administration specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
