The
DC Systems Analyst / Order Processing Specialist
plays a key role in managing and improving order fulfillment operations at our Flower Mound distribution center. This position focuses on optimizing our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Warehouse Control System (WCS) to boost efficiency, accuracy, throughput and overall performance. This role will also be responsible for the technical and operational management of order fulfillment at our Flower Mound distribution center.As the on-site subject matter expert in order waving, stock replenishment, and data analysis, this person ensures that our operations consistently meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The incumbent may be required to perform all or a combination of the following essential functions as determined by business necessity: System Configuration: Configure and maintain WMS parameters for order waving, slotting, replenishment, and picking strategies. System Support:
Troubleshoot and fix system issues within the warehouse operations. Serve as a subject matter expert for Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Warehouse Control System (WCS) workflows. Process Improvement:
Review warehouse and distribution data to find ways to improve stock replenishment, product placement (slotting), and outbound quality control. Work with operations to put system-based improvements in place. Order Management:
Create and manage order release schedules (waving), handle backorders, and organize order processing to meet service level agreements (SLAs). Cross-Team Collaboration:
Partner with IT and Supply Chain teams to support system updates and improvements. Work closely with Customer Service to quickly resolve order issues. Documentation & Training:
Keep all warehouse processespicking, packing, and shippingclearly documented and up to date. Help train staff in updated procedures when needed. Other Duties:
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: In addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may be required to perform other non-essential functions. SPECIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. LEVEL OF SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Under minimal supervision, performs specifically assigned tasks only as instructed, subject to regular check of performance, as necessary. This role operates under general direction, following established policies and processes with minimal functional guidance. EDUCATION, TRAINING and/or EXPERIENCE: A college degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-5 years of experience in a related distribution or warehouse role. TECHNICAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, and/or LICENSES: Proficiency with spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel) and Microsoft Office. Experience with WMS/WCS systems is required; experience with Softeon (WMS), Distributed Order Management (DOM/DRP) or JD Edwards (JDE/ERP) is a plus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions. Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to inventory and logistics. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required. ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS and/or PHYSICAL DEMANDS: General warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is provided with and required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment when performing these duties. The employee is also frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is also occasionally exposed to risk of electric shock. The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate. Employee must be able to pass a forklift driver training and test.
