Are you ready to take a leadership role in driving underwriting excellence across the organization? As the

Underwriting Quality Assurance Lead , you'll oversee the quality and accuracy of underwriting decisions, processes, and documentation. You'll lead audits, ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards, and implement strategic improvements that elevate underwriting performance.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

Improve underwriting behaviors and foster excellence by ensuring consistent adherence to guidelines and best practices.

Develop tactical approaches to minimize underwriting risks and identify errors before they impact business performance.

Monitor emerging risks across lines of business, divisions, and the group, and escalate critical findings to senior leadership, the Management Audit Committee (MAC), and Corporate Underwriting.

Lead specialized audits, formulate corrective actions, and recommend improvements aligned with underwriting goals.

Conduct spot audits and underwriting process reviews to assess risk evaluations, pricing, policy issuance, and overall accuracy.

Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Prepare clear, concise reports and documentation for leadership.

Collaborate across departments and communicate findings effectively.

What You Bring

To succeed in this role, you should have:

At least 10 years of skilled underwriting experience, with a proven track record of leading teams and driving quality assurance initiatives.

Technical underwriting expertise, especially in first-party lines and/or casualty.

Experience writing comprehensive compliance plans and reports.

Strong attention to detail and hands-on experience with audits and compliance checks.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

For New York and New Jersey only: The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
