Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the catheterization laboratory. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment within a Level II trauma center.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain the catheterization lab for procedures, ensuring all equipment is functional and sterile.
Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, including angiograms and stent placements.
Monitor patients' vital signs throughout procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection during invasive procedures.
Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assist in the interpretation of radiology images related to cardiac conditions.
Maintain accurate records of procedures performed, including patient data and equipment used.
Stay updated on advancements in cardiology practices and technologies.
Requirements
Years of Experience:
1 year(s) Certifications:
ACLS, ARRT R, BLS, Fluoro Permit, State licensed Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to cardiology. Proficient in monitoring vital signs and understanding emergency medicine protocols. Familiarity with medical terminology specific to cardiology and radiology. Experience with diagnostic evaluation techniques within a cath lab setting. Ability to apply aseptic techniques effectively during procedures. Knowledge of working in a Level II trauma center is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with medical staff and patients. Shift:
