If you have a desire to make a difference in your field with your knowledge, skills, and service, you are in the right place.Essential Duties and Responsibilities(other duties may be assigned):The Temporary/Relief Medical Assistant will perform a variety of administrative and clinical duties, which include procedures as regulated by certification such as, but not limited to, the following:Administer basic life support in emergencies to patients/youth and staff;Use medical equipment safely;Administer intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections and skin tests;Administer eye/ear washes;Administer prescribed medications topically, sublingually, and orally;Administer basic breathing treatments;Remove casts, splints, sutures, and other external devices;Change simple dressing;Collect blood via capillary and venipuncture techniques;Collect lab specimens using appropriate collection equipment; label specimens appropriately for evaluation;Other duties as assigned per job descriptionDocuments needed at the time of application:Valid MA Certificate/LicenseActive CPR Card/First AidCA State I.D.Social Security CardTB TestCovid vaccine cardN95 Mask Fit TestQualificationsJob Requirements:Twelve (12) continuous months of experienceCurrent and valid Medical Assistant Certificate from an agency approved by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California, to practice as a Medical AssistantPossess Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association Provider orAmerican Red Cross (with AED);Be proficient in the English language and be able to communicate effectively
