Overview

This role is ideal for professionals with 3-6 years of applicable experience, or 2-3 years of direct experience in the Government or Aerospace industry. The successful candidate will apply advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to support large or technically complex projects and required to provide analytical and cost estimating support for NASA programs.

Responsibilities

Serve as an analyst on high-visibility, complex projects with minimal supervision from program management. Develop innovative approaches to address complex programmatic and cost-related issues. Perform cost-benefit and risk analysis studies. Provide estimates of the impact of change requests and significant program modifications. Analyze and interpret raw engineering and cost data to support detailed cost estimates. Prepare and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), charts, tables, graphs, and diagrams to assist in cost and technical analysis. Utilize computer-based analytical tools and techniques such as:

Uni- and multi-variate statistical and regression analysis Learning curve analysis Parametric cost models and computer graphics Cost accounting principles (direct and indirect cost analysis) Development of escalation indices and cost estimating relationships (CERs)

Operate statistical and quantitative risk assessment models as required. Collaborate closely with technical teams and stakeholders to support budget formulation and cost strategy. Present analysis results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Skills Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, or a related field. 3-6 years of relevant experience, or 2-3 years of direct Government or Aerospace industry experience in cost estimating, cost engineering, operations research, or systems engineering. Experience developing cost estimates using parametric and statistical models. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office applications (PowerPoint, Word). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to obtain a security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required. Desired Qualifications:

Experience supporting NASA or other government space programs. Familiarity with cost estimation tools such as ACEIT, SEER, PRICE TruePlanning, PCEC, NICM, or similar. Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and cost estimating methodologies. Background in operations research, statistics, or quantitative risk analysis.

Education

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
