WORK YEAR: 187 Days
REPORTS TO: Director of the Early Learning Program
QUALIFICATIONS: ? Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy required ? CT Department of Public Health License required ? Thorough knowledge of the theory, principles, and methods of occupational therapy ? Knowledge of appropriate evaluating tools ? Knowledge of the equipment and assistive technology used in therapy ? Ability to develop and implement individualized programs ? Ability to maintain complete and accurate records ? Ability to lift, transfer and position students and equipment as necessary to provide occupational therapy ? Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
PEFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Provide school-based occupational therapy services for students, including assessment and treatment ? Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, administrators and related service providers in implementing strategies and accommodations in the regular education classroom ? Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
