Northwell Healths Department of Medicine is seeking a
board-certified Internal or Family Medicine Physician
to join our Primary Care team to focus on the healthcare of
LGBTQ+ communities in
New York City . The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in caring for these communities, including having AAHIVS. Candidates with three to five years of clinical experience, including TGNB-affirming hormone prescribing in primary care, sexual health, PrEP/Doxy-PEP & HIV are preferred. Highlights include : Serve as a core physician in Northwell Healths broader initiative to expand LGBTQ+ focused, comprehensive primary care services across multiple sites Be a member of the Division of General Internal Medicine, while co-reporting to the Director of LGBTQ+ Care Tremendous opportunity for clinical growth, innovation and leadership Potential for an educational involvement within Lenox Hill Hospitals Internal Medicine Residency Program and LGBTQ+ track Faculty appointment with the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University Northwell Health is committed to advancing healthcare for LGBTQ+ communities. In 2023, in an unprecedented move, a Director of LGBTQ+ Care for the Western Region (NYC and Westchester) was established to lead initiatives that expand access and enhance the quality of Primary Care for New Yorks 800,000 LGBTQ residents.
