This role focuses on developing and executing comprehensive performance testing strategies for critical trading and settlement systems in the capital markets environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for building robust performance test suites to ensure system reliability and compliance with audit requirements. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute performance test plans for high-volume trading and settlement platforms Create and maintain automated performance testing frameworks using JMeter and Python Build comprehensive test suites to replicate production-level volumes, user loads, and trade scenarios Develop SQL queries to support data validation and performance analysis Work with Prism trading and settlement systems to ensure optimal performance under load Conduct volume testing to simulate real-world trading environments Analyze system performance metrics and provide detailed reporting on findings Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks Ensure all testing activities meet regulatory and audit compliance requirements Document test procedures, results, and recommendations for system improvements Required Skills & Experience 3+ years of experience in performance testing, preferably in capital markets or financial services Strong proficiency with JMeter for load and performance testing Advanced Python scripting capabilities for test automation Solid SQL skills for database testing and data validation Experience with high-volume, high-frequency trading systems Knowledge of trade and settlement processes in capital markets Experience with Prism or similar trading platforms is highly preferred Ability to design tests that accurately replicate production environments Strong analytical skills with experience in performance metrics analysis Understanding of regulatory compliance and audit requirements in financial services Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with other performance testing tools (LoadRunner, Gatling, etc.) Knowledge of capital markets products and trading workflows Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Understanding of microservices architecture and API testing Contract Details Contract position with competitive hourly rate Hybrid work arrangement with flexibility between Jersey City and Charlotte offices Immediate start available for qualified candidates Initial contract term with potential for extension based on project needs Application Requirements Please submit your resume highlighting relevant performance testing experience in financial services, along with specific examples of JMeter and Python implementations in capital markets environments.
