This role is ideal for a motivated legal professional with experience or a strong interest in commercial foreclosure litigation, title proceedings, and related real estate disputes. This position is fully remote but requires residence within the state of New York. The successful candidate will manage a high caseload, interface with external stakeholders, and represent clients in hearings and proceedings across the state. Duties: Oversee and manage a large volume of statewide commercial foreclosure files Execute case strategies aligned with client goals and legal standards Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, third-party vendors, courts, and other legal personnel Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence Represent clients in court at hearings, trials, and public foreclosure auctions Analyze title reports and resolve title-related legal issues Conduct legal research and draft memoranda as needed Maintain accurate case records using internal case management systems Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with timelines and procedural rules Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members if applicable Perform additional responsibilities as required by the practice Requirements: Licensed to practice law in New York State Willingness and ability to travel within New York as needed Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial foreclosure, real estate litigation, or related fields Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Self-motivated, with the capacity to work independently and meet tight deadlines Technically proficient in legal research platforms and case management tools A portable book of business is advantageous Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Certifications: Admission to practice law in the State of New York Admission to federal district courts in New York is preferred Admission in additional states is a plus Skills: Proficiency in foreclosure law, title review, and creditor-side litigation Familiarity with FDCPA, RESPA, TILA, and other debt collection statutes Legal drafting and courtroom advocacy High attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities Ability to interact professionally with clients, courts, and legal peers Leadership qualities and a collaborative mindset are assets Job Location: New York City, NY (Remote work allowed; candidate must reside within New York State) Supportive and collegial remote work environment Compliance with ADA regulations and commitment to equal opportunity employment Company info
