A newly created UHNW family office is seeking a dynamic and resourceful Director of Operations to lead and professionalize all aspects of the family’s household, lifestyle, and personal operations. This role is best suited to someone who thrives in entrepreneurial, Gen 1 wealth environments — building structure where little exists, scaling teams and systems quickly, and balancing day-to-day execution with long-term vision.

The Director of Operations will oversee a multi-residence portfolio on the East Coast ensuring seamless service standards while also driving forward special projects and new initiatives. This is not a traditional estate management role: it requires a leader who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves on immediate operational needs as they are shaping the future direction of the family’s private infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Multi-Residence Oversight:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across all residences and teams
  • Create and implement Standard Operating Practices, manuals, and service standards across all teams
  • Ensure seamless coordination between household staff, private office, and family assistants
  • Coordinate and Facilitate quarterly Team Meetings
  • Update and maintain employee handbook accordingly
  • Recruit, manage, and inspire a diverse team of household, administrative, and project staff.
  • Create clear SOPs and a high-performance culture.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact and authority across departments (drivers, chefs, housekeepers, security, etc.)
  • Source, negotiate, and manage external vendors, contractors, and consultants
  • Oversee large-scale renovation or design projects, relocations, and special installations
  • Maintain property maintenance calendars, ensuring all systems function at the highest standard

Creative Vision & Lifestyle Execution:

  • Partner closely with the Principal to translate vision into execution across properties, events, and lifestyle initiatives.
  • Anticipate needs, think outside the box, and deliver solutions that reflect the family’s evolving priorities.

Travel & Flexibility: T

  • Travel with frequency (up to 50%) between Miami, Georgia, and New Jersey to oversee properties, projects, and staff.

Budget & Financial Management:

  • Collaborate with family office & Finance team to manage project budgets, forecasts, and reporting
  • Track and authorize household expenditures, service contracts, and capital projects
  • Implement cost-effective practices while maintaining excellence in service and presentation

Confidentiality & Trust:

  • Operate as a discreet and trusted advisor, upholding the highest standards of privacy at all times.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in UHNW family operations, estates, or luxury hospitality.
  • Proven success building operations from the ground up in fast-paced ideally in Gen 1 wealth settings.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with complex travel, multi-residence oversight, and capital projects.
  • Tech-savvy and adaptable; able to implement new systems and processes quickly.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
