Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Front-End Engineer to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate is proficient in React, Redux, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and has a passion for building clean, maintainable, and high-performance user interfaces for a fast-growing B2C ecommerce platform. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to bring our ecommerce experiences to life. You will be responsible for building and enhancing intuitive, responsive, and scalable front-end solutions that delight our users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable and reusable front-end components using React, Redux, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Collaborate with designers and UX/UI teams to create seamless, user-friendly interfaces that align with business goals.
- Implement responsive design principles to ensure high-quality, mobile-first web experiences across multiple devices.
- Integrate and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring high-quality, performant code that meets business requirements.
- Write clean, well-documented code, following best practices and maintaining high standards for code quality and performance.
- Utilize Storybook to develop and document reusable UI components for the design system.
- Work with the backend team to define API endpoints and ensure smooth integration between front-end and back-end services.
- Participate in code reviews, contributing to team knowledge-sharing and fostering best practices.
- Help troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing front-end features to improve performance and user experience.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging front-end technologies and trends, evaluating them for potential use in our platform.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in front-end development with a focus on building user interfaces using React.
- Strong knowledge of Redux for state management in React applications.
- Familiarity with Storybook for creating and managing reusable UI components.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating them into front-end applications.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following industry best practices.
- Solid understanding of version control using Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with eCommerce platforms or working in a B2C environment.
- Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) in React (e.g., Next.js).
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress) and writing unit/integration tests.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deploying front-end applications.
