Job Title: Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Location: Florham Park, NJ (Remote Option)
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Salary Range : $155,000 - $205,000 annual salary
Position Overview
The Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will be a strategic finance leader responsible for driving the companys budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-term planning processes. This role partners closely with the CFO, executive leadership, and Operations teams to deliver clear, actionable insights that inform decision-making and maximize value creation.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of building and leading FP&A functions in high-growth or private equity-backed environments, along with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Prior experience in the retirement plan third-party administration (TPA) industry is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all FP&A activities: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario planning.
- Partner with the CFO and executive leadership to set and execute short- and long-term financial strategies.
- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance and growth opportunities.
- Analyze KPIs, operational metrics, and market trends to guide decisions.
- Prepare and present reports for the Board, private equity sponsors, and key stakeholders.
- Manage the annual budget process and maintain rolling forecasts.
- Implement and optimize FP&A systems and tools for better reporting and analysis.
- Support M&A activity from due diligence to integration and performance tracking.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA, CPA, or CFA strongly ).
- 10+ years in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles, with 5+ years in leadership.
- Proven track record in private equity-backed environments, including sponsor and board engagement.
- Experience in retirement plan TPA or broader financial services .
- Advanced financial modeling and analysis skills.
- History of driving operational and financial improvements.
- Expertise with FP&A and ERP systems (NetSuite a plus).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across teams.
