We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Tax Manager to lead and build a team of professionals and play an integral role in our growth and continued success.
The Role
As the Senior Tax Manager, you will be a key leader within our tax practice, responsible for managing a portfolio of complex tax engagements and managing your team to accomplish exceptional advisory services to our clients. You will work directly with the partners and have direct communication with clients, providing strategic guidance and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all tax-related engagements. This role requires a professional who is not only a technical expert in the industry, but also a proactive leader and trusted advisor.
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a team of professionals to oversee the process of tax engagements and advisory services.
- Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for various entities, including corporations, partnerships, estates, and individuals.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and mitigate risk.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships through exceptional service and communication.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Stay current on changes in tax law and regulations, and effectively communicate their impact to both clients and the internal team.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a highly focused, organized, and efficient professional with a strong background in public accounting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical tax skills, exceptional leadership abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding client service.
Required Qualifications:
- CPA certification is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting firm, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role.
- Proven expertise in corporate, partnership, estate, and individual tax law.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a leadership role managing a team of professionals.
- Strong business development skills and an ability to attract new clients.
