Job Description
Location : Washington, DC
Work Arrangement : Hybrid
Duration : 12-month contract, with possible extension
W-2 or 1099
No C2C, visa transfers, or sponsorship
The DNA Group is seeking a full-time Entry-Level Data Analyst to support a citywide initiative focused on improving outcomes for youth and families in the District of Columbia. This position plays a critical role in the development of a Continuum of Care Implementation Plan for at-risk youth, through the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, stakeholder collaboration, and strategic research efforts.
Overview Requirements:
Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to support the development of a Continuum of Care Implementation Plan for at-risk youth in Washington, D.C.
Collaborate with the Project Director, government agencies, and community stakeholders to identify key data points, gather information, and monitor service gaps.
Conduct asset mapping, gap analysis, and literature reviews to identify best practices in juvenile justice and community-based youth support.
Translate data and research findings into clear, actionable insights to inform service delivery and system improvement.
Attend monthly project meetings and Planning Council sessions to present progress, gather feedback, and align efforts with broader agency goals.
Produce high-quality deliverables including data summaries, flow diagrams, dashboards, and a final report with an implementation timeline.
Demonstrate strong communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders and present complex findings in accessible, user-friendly formats.
Work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment; manage timelines and priorities with attention to detail.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Required Experience:
Experience in the social sciences (preferably juvenile justice, public health, or behavioral science): 1 year (Required)
Experience conducting research and evaluations using public health or justice system administrative data: 1 year (Required)
Understanding of statistical concepts and their application in public health and criminal justice data: 1 year (Required)
Proficiency in programming languages (R or Stata), database management, and data visualization: 1 year (Required)
Experience collaborating with stakeholders and providing project updates: 1 year (Required)
Experience analyzing datasets to identify trends and draw meaningful conclusions: 1 year (Required)
Strong analytical and communication skills to present complex data clearly and concisely: 1 year (Required)
