We are a nonprofit, donor-supported organization that has raised and invested billions of dollars to help develop cystic fibrosis therapies that have changed the lives of people with this disease. Nearly every CF medicine available today was made possible because of Foundation support.
Position Summary:
The Development Manager is responsible for planning, supporting and executing fundraising initiatives and programs within a chapter. The role manages and/or coordinates and supports fundraising events and programs, manages donor relationships, and develops fundraising revenue generating strategies to enhance the chapter's fundraising efforts with oversight from the Field management teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, identify, pursue, and implement fundraising initiatives through events or campaigns, to meet annual revenue goals for the chapter and area. Support fellow team members, the chapter Annual Volunteer Recognition events, and other key chapter functions.
Cultivate, engage, and steward relationships with corporate sponsors, committee members, event honorees, fundraising participants, campaign ambassadors and donors. Aid in recruiting volunteers, participants and other supporters.
Plan and execute local chapter events, campaigns and programs through coordinating logistics, venue arrangements, contracts/permits, volunteer management and event day execution.
Communicate, educate, and raise awareness about CF and the Foundation's mission to people with CF, families, and community members.
Collaborate with chapter, area and regional teams, volunteers/donors, and others for fundraising or program support and execution.
Support chapter communication plans through vehicles like chapter volunteer database, email marketing platform, Canva, social media, and chapter event websites. Run reports and draft materials as needed.
Communicate, educate, and raise awareness about CF and the work of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Educates patients, families community members with up-to-date information on research progress, access to healthcare, pending legislative issues on both a local and national level, and other services provided.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Four-year degree preferred or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of 1 - 3 years of fundraising/sales experience.
Good customer service skills.
Strong volunteer management experience.
Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written) necessary in order to communicate professionally, diplomatically and effectively with volunteers, donors, community members, and staff.
Strong attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
Work nights and weekends as necessary to attend meetings and events.
Must have access to reliable transportation and ability to travel to meetings or events at different locations.
Use of computer required.
Some heavy lifting may be required.

The salary range is $78,000.00 to $80,000.00. Specific salary varies based on geographic location and is commensurate with experience.
