Position Summary
The Manufacturing Operations Manager manages operations, production, quality, and warehouse teams and processes for the Assembly and Manufacturing team. This role ensures that sales, purchasing, operations, and warehouse teams utilize company tools to drive operational health and deliver world-class customer service. The Manufacturing Operations Manager oversees all daily branch operations functions, including month-end and closing duties in key operational areas. Additionally, this position assists Sales and the Director of Assembly & Manufacturing/VP of Supply Chain in resolving internal, accounting, system, and inventory issues, while also managing personnel.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 40+ associates across production, quality, and warehouse, including technicians, engineers, and administrative staff.
- Handle day-to-day operations of the branch, including services and building maintenance.
- Monitor daily operations reports, queues, and operational dashboards, taking necessary actions to maintain performance standards.
- Support existing processes and develop new ones for sales, purchasing, production, and warehouse operations.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by promptly addressing service issues and operational challenges.
- Manage inventory levels and health for the branch.
- Conduct month-end operational close activities.
- Allocate resources strategically to meet production timelines and operational goals.
- Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Ensure all operations adhere to safety protocols and regulations while promoting a culture of safety and quality in the branch.
- Support ISO internal and external audits and drive compliance throughout the organization.
- Identify training needs and provide opportunities for professional development to enhance team skills and performance.
- Oversee operational projects to support branch customers.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans for operational growth and efficiency.
- Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, challenges, and achievements to senior management.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Electrical and/or distribution experience preferred but not required.
- Background and understanding of ISO compliance preferred.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or university; or
- 5+ years of related experience in Operations and/or Management; or
- 5+ years of experience demonstrating advanced knowledge in Eclipse Operation Systems; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- This exempt position pays between $107K $145K. This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
