Responsible for managing quality improvement, utilization review and staff development activities across three (3) Opioid Treatment Centers located in Brooklyn and Queens. Coordinates, facilitates and tracks Quality Improvement activity for Treatment Centers. Prepares and distributes Quality Improvement reports, Report cards, occurrence tracking grid, PDCA charts, and PI quarterly reports as required. Prepares applications for program recertifications, surveys and audits and follows up with corrective action plans if indicated. Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies by assisting in the preparation for and participating in audits and surveys (e.g. OASAS, JCAHO, etc.) Represents the Opioid Treatment Centers in departmental and hospital initiatives involving accreditation, safety and quality improvement activities and utilization review, as assigned. Ensures excellence in clinical practice and delivery of patient care by monitoring the implementation of the department's QI Plan through the use of audits, tracers, PDCA, Consumer Satisfaction Survey and other methods. Coordinates investigation of all internally and externally reported incidents and patient complaints (submit, track, follow-up). Serves as liaison to hospital staff and regulatory agencies on these matters. Ensures appropriate utilization of Opioid Treatment resources by monitoring admissions and discharges of all OTC clients Develops and implements goals for staff development congruent with strategic direction, policies, procedures, and standards of the organization and Opioid Treatment Centers. Plans and provides orientation, mandatory in-service, and continuing education in response to regulatory/accreditation requirements and practice needs, and maintains required records and reports. Provides QI/PI/UR training and ongoing consultation to staff as necessary. Performs unannounced random environmental, safety and chart review of all Opioid Treatment Centers to ensure quality and safety of environment. Collaborates with department staff, hospital staff, and educational institutions in the interest of QI and educational activities as appropriate.
Three (3) years experience in quality improvement or related area is required. Knowledge with Opioid Treatment/MMTP Modalities, NYS OASAS, JHACO, SAMSHA, Quality Improvement activities and Hospital Based Treatment Programs is required. CASAC required
