Role: Branch Manager

The Branch Manager is responsible for driving counter sales growth, implementing company initiatives, and ensuring efficient inventory management and control. This role will oversee daily operations activities and hold P&L responsibility, ensuring the highest standards of service and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

  1. Partner with Regional Branch Operations Managers to develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed targets.
  2. Review market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates.
  3. Prepare sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  4. Implement and monitor company initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  5. Establish operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
  6. Establish goals and objectives for assigned area to meet overall department goals; develop and implement new and revised methods or procedures to improve efficiency and help achieve goals.
  7. Ensure proper training of employees on effective and safe usage of equipment and machinery.
  8. Inspect physical condition of warehouse and equipment.
  9. Prepare work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
  10. Coordinate warehouse activities with other functions such as production, sales, and procurement.
  11. Advise and instruct subordinates in all aspects of work; ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  12. Review and evaluate employee progress according to company guidelines.
  13. Exercise authority for independent decision-making affecting warehouse operations.
  14. Communicate administrative information, policies, procedures, decisions, and changes to subordinates.
  15. Analyze operational issues to determine the most effective and efficient use of resources.
  16. Plan and schedule tasks over the short and long term, prioritize, and assign work.
  17. Compile and prepare reports for management regarding area operations and financial matters.
  18. Control inventory levels and organize annual inventory counts.
  19. Resolve customer complaints, questions, and inventory problems.
  20. Manage property control system; assign numbers, tags, and ensure documentation.
  21. Maintain inventory levels; purchase equipment, materials, and supplies within budget.
  22. Determine disposition of used or damaged property.
  23. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

What You'll Bring
  1. In-depth knowledge of electrical products and their applications.
  2. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports.
  3. Experience with Eclipse or similar CRM system.
  4. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships.
  5. Proactive problem-solving approach.
  6. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Strong leadership skills including coaching, mentoring, and listening.
  8. Effective presentation skills for management and groups of customers, vendors, or employees.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Must be a team player and abide by QEDs core values and beliefs.
