The Sequent team focuses on creating trust structures and providing fiduciary services across numerous jurisdictions to help UHNW families manage succession and asset protection plans. The firms speciality is complex, multinational families, often with US exposure. As a fiduciary, the firm is able to manage the full range of assets for a given family, including financial and non-financial assets. Sequent does not offer proprietary banking or investment management services.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Sequent (North America) LLC is seeking a Senior Trust Officer for its Reno, Nevada office to take responsibility for the administration of a portfolio of international trusts and offshore/onshore companies encompassing direct exposure to all the principals involved in addition to relevant internal issues. The ideal candidate has an interest in career advancement and enjoys working in a small team environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management, supervision and coordination of daily administration of trusts and companies
- Maintaining and developing personal contact with clients, advisors and other related parties
- Making fiduciary decisions on assigned mandates within Company guidelines
- Administrative overview and control of assigned mandates including financial, accounting and database reviews
- Coordination of mandate specific transactions with bankers, lawyers, accountants, agents and/or consultants
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in dealing with HNWI in a private banking/fiduciary environment
- CTFA, STEP, ACAMS, CFE and Trust qualifications preferred
- Technical administration skills and collaboration with teammates locally and in Europe
- Strong analytical skills, able to make decisions based on facts and figures on signed mandates
- Capable of problem-solving and acting independently on mandates
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to significant fiduciary and trust administration matters
- Professional, diplomatic and at ease in everyday working situations especially when representing Sequent
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- An adaptable approach in the work environment, learn proprietary software systems
- Capable of multitasking while retaining high quality standards
