Bus Driver

Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a Bus Driver on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their designated locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and a positive attitude. Hours are 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM (roughly)
Responsibilities
- Operate a bus in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport passengers to various locations according to scheduled routes.
- Ensure the safety of passengers by conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including those with disabilities.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior.
- Provide information and assistance to passengers regarding routes, schedules, and fares.
- Manage and collect fares from passengers as required.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Attend mandatory training sessions and meetings as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, passenger counts, and incidents.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Previous experience as a bus driver or in a similar role is preferred but we are willing to help train a new driver.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
