**Job Description: Emergency Room Nurse**
**Shift:** 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
**Location:** Asheville, NC
**Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse to provide high-quality care in our bustling emergency department. **Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver compassionate and efficient patient care in a fast-paced emergency room environment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess and manage patient care needs.
- Utilize advanced nursing skills for complex medical conditions and trauma cases.
- Participate in triaging patients and providing timely interventions.
- Maintain accurate documentation using the Cerner system.
- Provide support and guidance to nursing assistants and techs within the unit.
**Unit Details:**
- **Number of Beds:** 101
- **Patient Ratios:** Typically 4:1 for medical cases, up to 7:1 for behavioral holds.
- **Type of Equipment:** Baxter pumps, GE monitors.
- **Staffing Description:** Techs available, along with dedicated unit clerks for day and night shifts.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency room setting, preferably in a Level II trauma center or high-volume emergency department.
- Certifications required before the start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS; ENPC certification within 90 days of hire.
- A strong teamwork mentality and the ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback.
- Flexibility to work throughout all areas of the emergency department.
**Dress Code:** Navy scrubs required.
