Our unit features three state-of-the-art cath labs, a holding area for inpatients, and a radial lounge for outpatients, accommodating a diverse patient population. We currently have 13 RN positions, including a manager, and 7 tech positions, as well as 5 RN positions and 1 LNA in the radial lounge. The cath lab operations run Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with 24-hour on-call support to provide comprehensive coverage. Patient Population: - Adults Key Responsibilities: - Participate in a variety of cardiac procedures including left heart and right heart catheterizations, stent placements, and drug studies.- Utilize advanced equipment such as Impella, IABP, shockwave devices, and more.- Provide critical care support, including titration of drips independently.- Ensure patient safety and comfort during pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases. Qualifications: - Required: RN License- Required Certification: ACLS- Must have critical care experience with proficiency in operating Impella and IABP devices.- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Sunrise / Allscripts, and Mac Lab. Ideal Candidate Profile: We are looking for an efficient yet approachable individual with a good sense of humor who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential for this role. Unit Procedures: - Left and Right Heart Catheterizations- Drug Studies- TAVR, TMVR- ASD/PFO closures- Stenting and Angioplasty- Atherectomy (Rota, CSI, Shockwave)- Mechanical Thrombectomy (INARI and EKOS)- IABP and Impella placements- Mitral Clip procedures Work Schedule: - Self-scheduling for call, approximately one day a week and one weekend per month.- Call hours from 4:30 PM to 7:30 AM on designated days, and from 4:30 PM Friday to 7:30 AM Monday during weekend call.
