This Quality Manager will oversee all aspects of the quality management system, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and serve as the primary liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams on all quality-related matters. If interested, please read on and apply to the Quality Manager - Precision Manufacturing job based near New Haven, CT.Job DescriptionThe Quality Manager - Precision Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:Lead and manage the quality team, including engineers, inspectors, and technicians, to achieve department and company goals.Maintain, improve, and ensure compliance with the company's Quality Management System (ISO 9001, AS9100, or other applicable standards).Establish, monitor, and analyze quality KPIs to identify trends, resolve issues, and drive process improvements.Oversee all inspection and testing activities, including the use of precision measuring equipment (CMM, optical comparators, micrometers, gauges).Manage internal and external audits, ensuring audit readiness at all times.Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes using industry-standard problem-solving methods (8D, 5 Whys, FMEA).Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to embed quality into all stages of the manufacturing process.Oversee supplier quality programs, including qualification, audits, and performance monitoring.Maintain customer relationships through effective communication on quality issues, including providing timely responses to concerns, complaints, and audit findings.Support training and development of staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and continuous improvement tools. The Successful ApplicantThe ideal Quality Manager - Precision Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).7+ years of quality experience in a precision manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, or equivalent quality standards.Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP, GD&T).Proven track record of implementing process improvements and leading cross-functional problem-solving initiatives.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Experience with ERP and quality management software preferred.Six Sigma Green Belt certification a plus.What's on OfferThe successful Quality Manager - Precision Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:Base Salary of $100,000-$125,000 depending on experienceBonus401K MatchPTOMedical, Dental, VisionContactErin McQuillanQuote job refJN-
