INDIRECT PURCHASING MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY:
The Manager of Indirect Purchasing is responsible for leading the procurement of all indirect goods and services to support Android Industries operations. This includes overseeing purchasing activities for categories such as MRO (maintenance, repair & operations), IT, facilities, professional services, and capital equipment. The role ensures cost-effectiveness, high quality, timely delivery, and supplier compliance while building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for indirect spending categories aligned with company objectives.
- Lead contract negotiations, ensuring competitive pricing, favorable terms, and compliance with legal and corporate requirements.
- Manage the supplier selection, qualification, and performance evaluation process for indirect suppliers.
- Partner with departments such as Operations, Maintenance, IT, and HR to understand business needs and deliver effective procurement solutions.
- Identify and drive cost savings initiatives and process improvements while maintaining or improving service levels.
- Monitor market trends and stay informed about potential risks or opportunities in the supply base.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier contracts, and compliance documentation.
- Lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
- All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or another related field.
- 5+ years of experience in indirect procurement or supply chain, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- 2+ years experience working in a Purchasing manager role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities with ability to review facts and weigh options when solving problems and making decisions.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize tasks, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint).
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work successfully with cross-functional teams.
