Pay Information $2,386 per week About The Position Job Title: Oncology Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current RN License Certifications: CPR certification within 30 days of employment Must-Have: Oncology experience Description: Plans and provides nursing care for patients in an efficient and caring manner. Supervises nursing care under the direction of a medical oncologist. Coordinates care planning with other caregivers and departments. Adheres to universal precautions and infection control policies. Works independently with minimal supervision. Provides direct patient care according to physician orders in a warm and friendly manner. Takes and records measurements or readings. Assesses patients' conditions and provides appropriate treatment. Administers prescribed medications. Provides leadership while collaborating with other caregivers on the unit. Ability to read, write, and explain moderately complex information to hospital staff. Attention to detail is essential. Effective oral and written communication skills are required. Must be able to observe, assess, and guide others. Ability to read, calculate, and prepare medication. Observes and analyzes reactions and applies clinical knowledge as necessary. Holiday coverage is required.
