The ideal candidate should have a strong background in managing patients undergoing cardiac surgeries. This includes experience with CABG, TAVR, and other thoracic procedures. Familiarity with caring for both ICU and progressive care patients in a mixed acuity unit is essential. The position involves a patient ratio of 1:5, requiring excellent clinical skills and teamwork. Candidates must be able to administer blood products and manage arterial lines. The nursing role includes the care of ventilated patients and ventilator management. Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps and ventricular assist devices is preferred. Applicants should demonstrate competence in patient care with high acuity and diverse diagnoses. Successful candidates will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient outcomes. A commitment to ongoing learning and adaptation to meet the facility's needs is essential. Candidates must be able to float within the facility and its affiliates as required. This nursing opportunity requires the ability to work every other weekend and 2 of 3 major holidays.
