Pay Information $2,076 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Tele Duration: 13-26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years minimum required License: NC or Compact license required at start Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience. Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring required. Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, and Sheath Removal experience required. Accessing ports and Blood Product Administration. Central line care management and PICC line management. Cardiac drip-titration of Diltiazem and Amiodarone. Post cardiac cath experience. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO could possibly result in cancellation. Unit accepts first-time travelers and locals. Ratios of 1:6-7 for patient assignments. 36 hours only can be offered for the contract. Unit monitors cardiac patients. Cardiac drips include Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine. Special procedures include sheath pulls, TR bands, and Femstop. Float requirement is expected. Weekend requirement includes 5-6 shifts over a 6-week period. Contract staff will be expected to work during catastrophic events. Travelers must pass EKG testing prior to starting for this specialty. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services. Candidate must be comfortable floating with no restrictions or special requests. Two manager or supervisor references from within the past 12 months are preferred upon submission. Candidate must work two of three major holidays. No RTO is allowed during the first week of a traveler's assignment. Candidates may float within the facility or to nearby units. This position requires oversight and management of various cardiac telemetry duties.
