POSITION DETAILS
This role manages the day-to-day financial operations of the Hunter College Foundation. The position reports to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of Hunter College Foundation and supervises a team of six two gift processing managers, two accountants, one Budget Director and one Payroll Director.

This role manages the day-to-day financial operations of the Hunter College Foundation. The position reports to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of Hunter College Foundation and supervises a team of six two gift processing managers, two accountants, one Budget Director and one Payroll Director.
In addition to CUNY Title Overview, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Directs the financial functions of the Hunter College Foundation.
  • Manages day-to-day accounting functions including staff supervision (six direct reports) in relation to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and more than 1000 restricted spending accounts.
  • Oversee and reconcile investment income from the Hunter College Investment Pool and Endowment.
  • Directs the internal and external audits of the Hunter College Foundation.
  • Works with the leadership of the Hunter College Foundation Board of Trustees, and the Foundation Budget, Audit, and Investment Committees.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience required.

  • Directs financial operations for various funds and accounts
  • Ensures compliance with all appropriate City, State, Federal and GAAP accounting and regulatory policies
  • Reviews risk assessments, identifies internal control weaknesses and implements appropriate corrective actions
  • Manages day-to-day accounting functions including staff supervision in relation to closings, reconciliations and analyses
  • Oversees the accuracy and integrity of all financial statements, revenue projections and other reports as required
  • Develops effective policies and procedures for fiscal operations, and incorporates University-wide policies and standards
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Compensation And Benefits
Salary commensurate with education and experience ($127,303 -$155,000).
