Contract may be extended up to three additional years based on program performance.
Pay: $160,000 - $170,000 - benefits included

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Manager to lead the development and maintenance of multiple enterprise applications simultaneously. This role involves managing a blended team of full-time and contracted developers, applying SDLC best practices, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in .NET technologies and relational databases , combined with excellent leadership and communication skills to collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multiple software development teams across enterprise applications.
Oversee the full software development life-cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
Build robust, custom business applications from the ground up.
Collaborate with program area stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Provide hands-on technical guidance in technologies such as .NET and relational SQL databases.
Lead development of ETL processes and data centralization for reporting consumption.
Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with contracted development resources.
Ensure code quality, security, and performance through code reviews and best practices.
Develop and track project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.

Minimum Qualifications:
10 years Enterprise Software Development Life Cycle experience.
10 years Hands-on experience with .NET (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core).
10 years Effective verbal and written communication with customers and teams.
5 years Estimating work with accurate timelines and resource requirements.
5 years Experience with Agile/Scrum and traditional SDLC methodologies.
5 years Proficiency in ETL and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL).
5 years Experience managing both full-time and contract developers.
5 years Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket).
3 years Leadership or management role overseeing enterprise development teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years Government or Education enterprise solutions experience.
3 years Experience with Blazor Server or Blazor WSM.
2 years Power BI experience.
Understanding of cloud platforms, including but not limited to Power BI.
