Corporate Controller
Lasalle Network is pleased to be partnered with a multinational hotel investment and management company that is looking to hire a Corporate Controller. This individual will have a hybrid schedule (Monday Thursday onsite) in the Chicago office.
Corporate Controller Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end close process for multiple entitiesensure accuracy, timeliness and consistency.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements, journal entries and variance analyses for senior leadership.
- Manage the intercompany accounting framework: reconciliations, eliminations, journal entries and monthly intercompany close.
- Develop and enforce policies and automated workflows to streamline intercompany transactions.
- Plan and coordinate year-end audits with external auditors; prepare schedules, support fieldwork and drive remediation of findings.
- Maintain strong internal controls, identify SOX/compliance gaps and partner with Finance & IT to close them out.
- Design, document and roll out standardized accounting policies, procedures and month-end checklists across all properties.
- Automate manual tasks where possible and continuously seek efficiencies in reporting and reconciliations.
- Mentor and coach regional Accounting Leads and their teams on close processes, technical accounting and system best practices.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, Revenue Management and Operations to ensure alignment on data flows, system enhancements and reporting needs.
Corporate Controller Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience within the hospitality industry REQUIRED.
- Proven track record owning consolidated close, intercompany accounting and external audit management.
- Deep GAAP knowledge and experience with SOX/internal control frameworks.
- Expert Excel skills; hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g. M3, ProfitSword).
- Excellent communicatorable to translate technical accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong project-management mindset and a bias for driving process improvements.
The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $155,000. A comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical / dental / vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
