Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with production goals
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without sacrificing quality
- Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships
- Negotiate favorable contracts, pricing, and service agreements
- Monitor supplier performance for compliance and reliability
- Partner with inventory and production teams to forecast material needs
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid delays or excess stock
- Ensure purchasing activities follow legal and ethical standards
- Diversify supplier base and create contingency plans for risk mitigation
- Lead, coach, and support a team of procurement professionals
- Promote continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration
- Analyze market trends and vendor data to guide decisions
- Deliver regular reporting on purchasing KPIs and cost metrics
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in ERP/procurement systems
- Deep understanding of supply chain and inventory management
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical abilities
- Proven leadership skills with a proactive, hands-on approach
- Detail-oriented and well-organized
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of procurement experience, ideally in manufacturing
- 2-3 years in a supervisory or team lead role
- Familiarity with ISO and environmental compliance standards
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Hybrid setting: office and manufacturing floor interaction
- May involve lifting up to 40 lbs and climbing stairs/ladders
- Must adapt to evolving production demands and priorities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong sense of accountability and time management
- Dependable, punctual, and adaptable
