This team includes licensed and unlicensed caregivers. The focus is on ensuring patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care. Clinical practice is guided by a shared governance model and evidence-based practices. RN competencies align with professional standards and values. All RN Clinical Nurses are expected to be knowledgeable and comply with the nursing practice regulations. The RN will perform the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Care must be individualized and coordinated effectively. Patient-centered care should reflect understanding of cultural diversity. The RN will partner with patients and significant others in the care process. Effective communication and documentation practices must be maintained to ensure safe, quality patient care. Teamwork and collaboration are essential in delivering care, promoting a respectful and inclusive clinical environment. Participation in performance improvement initiatives is expected. The RN should promote evidence-based practices and contribute to nursing research. Compliance with healthcare policies, standards, and regulations is mandatory. The RN must proactively plan for care throughout the care continuum. Participation in the development of protocols and best practices is required.
