There are 78 staff members on the team. Daily staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, and 1 PCT/secretary for day shift. Night shift staffing mirrors the day shift with similar roles. Patient ratios are typically 1:3-4 couplets. Equipment used in the unit includes Alaris pumps and Bilirubin blankets/lights. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner. Candidates without Mother Baby experience will not be considered for the role. Travel experience and care for patients on Magnesium Sulfate post delivery are preferred. STABLE certification is also an asset. Circumcisions are a typical procedure performed on this unit. Ideal candidates will be team players who enjoy teaching. Weekends are required, but there are no call shifts.
