What you will be doing:
- Lead the Global Accounting Organization through developing a robust, sustainable accounting function globally that conforms to generally accepted accounting principles and SEC requirements, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence and in line with overall Franklin Electric guidelines through integration of standard processes.
- Facilitates strong business partnership, team-oriented culture within global accounting organization
- Drives Development of Global Accounting team with continuous improvement mindset that supports corporate growth strategy
- Responsible for complete, accurate and timely financial reporting, both internal and external
- Maintain the company's overall system of accounts, books and records on all company transactions and assets.
- Identify and mitigate financial risk. Design, implement and monitor internal control frameworks.
- Collaborates with global financial organization to drive global strategy with sustainable accounting policies and procedures with that adhere to US GAAP
- Create Global Centers of Excellence for our accounting processes including monthly closing and reconciliation processes. Maintains a system of controls over accounting transactions. Drive meaningful accounting process transformation and automation.

- Bachelors degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field (required).
- 15+ years of strong and broad experience in accounting and ability to apply GAAP knowledge to business scenarios across a global matrixed organization.
- Prior Global Controller experience (required).
- Prior experience with SEC reporting/public company accounting (required).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (required).
- Public Accounting experience is highly desirable
- Master of Business Administration degree (preferred).
