GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing on-site policies and programs covering staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, HRIS administration, training, health & safety, and employee rewards & recognition.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Lead and manage the Human Resources department at the Kratos site.
- Develop and interpret HR programs, policies, procedures, and controls; recommend changes or innovations.
- Ensure employment practices comply with federal and state laws.
- Oversee staffing and recruiting, ensuring qualified candidates are hired.
- Coordinate selection, promotion, compensation, and internal placement.
- Consult with leadership on employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and initiate corrective actions.
- Administer training programs and ensure employee training aligns with the division Quality Management System.
- Manage employee performance appraisal programs.
- Oversee employee rewards and recognition programs, including vendor support and engagement events.
- Partner with EHS to oversee employee health and safety.
- Coordinate with corporate on employee benefits (medical, dental, 401k, etc.).
- Administer leave of absence and workers' compensation programs.
- Maintain personnel records, including employment and training files.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Supervise human resources staff.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Effective interaction with all organizational levels.
- Leadership, motivation, development, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to develop HR strategy aligned with company goals.
- Strong communication, influence, and commitment skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information appropriately.
- Professional interaction with the public when needed.

- Proficiency in MS Office.
COMPENSATION:
$125,000 - $150,000/year.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- B.S. Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 7-10+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in defense or manufacturing.
Preferred:
- SPHR certification.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Office and manufacturing settings.
- Ability to stand, sit, and perform repetitive motions.
- May lift up to 50 pounds.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
10-25% travel between KUAS locations.
