You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the equipment, maintaining product quality, and leading a team of operators and technicians. Your primary goal will be to ensure the shift meets production targets while adhering to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.Job Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate the activities of the Bay to ensure smooth and efficient operationAssign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance as neededEnsure that equipment is properly set up, maintained, and operated according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs or maintenance with the maintenance teamAssist supervisor with the production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summariesAssist supervisor with staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunitiesResolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending actionProvide and facilitate effective communication and information flow with other departmentsAccomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and proceduresRegular engagement with Quality Control in the implementation and enforcement of quality control procedures to ensure that fittings meet the required specifications and standardsConduct regular inspections and tests to verify product quality and address any non-conformitiesMaintain housekeeping according to 5S standardsPromote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policiesConduct regular safety inspections, provide training on safe work practices, and address any safety concerns promptlyProvide training and guidance to staff, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively, identify training needs and organize relevant training programsMaintain accurate records of production activities, equipment maintenance, and quality control resultsGenerate reports on production metrics, efficiency, and quality performanceCreates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirementsIdentify opportunities for process optimization and cost reductionCollaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, evaluate new technologies, and optimize material utilizationMaintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departmentsJob RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.
