This role is critical in ensuring product compliance, driving continuous improvement, and upholding a culture of quality throughout operations. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you'll lead a small team and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues, maintain ISO 9001 standards, and improve first-pass yield and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Systems & ComplianceLead and maintain ISO 9001 Quality Management SystemEnsure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirementsCoordinate and prepare for internal, customer, and third-party auditsOversee corrective and preventive actions using root cause analysis tools (8D, DMAIC, 5 Whys)Leadership & Team DevelopmentManage, mentor, and develop a team of 4-5 quality professionalsSet performance standards and drive accountability across the teamFoster a proactive quality culture across the facilityProcess Improvement & MetricsAnalyze quality metrics, trends, and nonconformance dataCollaborate with operations and engineering to improve yield, reduce scrap, and resolve issuesLead initiatives to improve incoming inspection, in-process checks, and final product releaseCustomer & Supplier QualityManage customer complaints, RMAs, and warranty claimsInterface with customers and suppliers on quality concerns and expectationsSupport supply chain by managing supplier quality and conducting necessary auditsDocumentation & Technical SupportMaintain quality documentation, procedures, and control plansSupport creation of product specifications and test methodsWrite and review technical quality reports and protocolsQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field15+ years of experience in manufacturing, with 5+ years in a quality leadership roleExperience in ISO 9001-certified environmentsSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certificationStrong analytical skills and familiarity with tools like Excel and MinitabTechnical knowledge of control plans, PFMEA, SPC, and inspection processesAbility to lead by example in a fast-paced, hands-on production environmentMust be clean-shaven to wear a respirator in designated areasPreferred:Experience with plastic injection molding, assembly, or electrical safety productsWorking knowledge of lean manufacturing and statistical process control (SPC)Physical RequirementsAbility to work in a manufacturing setting and walk the production floorCapable of wearing PPE, including respirators, in compliance with safety protocolsMay require standing, climbing, or occasional lifting up to 40 lbsThis is a highly visible opportunity to lead the quality function at a growing site with strong executive backing.
