Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

Must-Have:
- Minimum 2 years Behavioral Health experience
- Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role
Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specialized in Behavioral Health.
The unit has 19 beds and a total of 45 staff members.
During the day shift, the unit typically has 3 RNs, 2 Mental Health Technicians, 1 Unit Secretary, 1 Discharge Planner, 1 Recreation Therapist, and 2 Clinical Therapists.
The night shift is staffed with 3 RNs and 2 Mental Health Technicians.
The typical patient ratios are 1:6 or 1:7.
The unit uses some medical equipment, including wheelchairs and occasionally cycler dialysis equipment.
Experience with EMR, specifically Meditech, is preferred.
Common procedures on the unit include blood glucose checks, medication administration, and assessments/documentation.
Dressing changes are rare.
The ideal candidate is outgoing and hardworking.
This role may involve floating to Medical/Surgical areas as needed.
The dress code requires navy blue scrubs for both top and bottom.
Expectation includes working 3-4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule.
Candidates with medical experience will be given priority consideration.
