Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Animal Science, or related field preferred.2+ years of experience in QA in a USDA-regulated food production environment (poultry preferred).Strong knowledge of HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, and USDA regulations.HACCP certification preferred.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, or extended shifts as needed.Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.Working Conditions:Exposure to cold/wet/hot plant environments.Standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 lbs. for extended periods.Fast-paced environment with strict deadlines and regulatory requirements.**This is a 2nd shift opening only**Position Summary:The QA Supervisor is responsible for overseeing quality assurance and food safety programs in the poultry processing plant. This includes ensuring that products meet company standards, USDA regulations, and customer specifications. The role involves leading QA technicians, conducting audits, supporting continuous improvement, and maintaining documentation.Key Responsibilities:Supervise QA technicians and ensure daily tasks and inspections are completed correctly.Monitor plant processes and products to ensure compliance with USDA regulations, HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs, and customer requirements.Conduct pre-operational and operational inspections to verify cleanliness and proper procedures.Investigate and resolve non-conformances and customer complaints.Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of QA programs and food safety systems.Conduct internal audits and support USDA inspections.Train QA staff and plant personnel on food safety and quality standards.Collaborate with operations, sanitation, and maintenance teams to correct quality issues.Ensure all documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with regulatory and company standards.Support product recalls, traceability exercises, and shelf-life testing as needed.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality and food safety.
