Position Overview
We are seeking a
Workday Platform Manager
with expertise in
compensation, benefits, and time off configurations
to join a growing in‐house HR technology team. This position partners closely with HR leadership, Payroll, Finance, and IT to design, configure, and maintain Workday HCM modules that support scalable HR processes. This is a high‐impact role where you'll lead configuration strategies, implement new functionality, and serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders. You will help shape the direction of Workday's use within the organization and drive transformation initiatives that improve overall efficiency and user experience. Key Responsibilities
Cross‐Functional Collaboration
Develop relationships with HR leadership and subject matter experts across Benefits, Payroll, Finance, and IT.
Partner with the HR Technology Director to create and execute configuration strategies.
Lead design sessions, requirement‐gathering workshops, and configuration reviews with business partners.
Document business requirements, recommend process improvements, and develop proof‐of‐concept solutions.
Provide input into future Workday roadmaps and actively engage with the Workday Community.
Workday HCM Administration
Administer and maintain Workday HCM modules with a focus on
compensation, benefits, and time off : Advanced compensation plans, merit cycles, bonus structures, benefit eligibility rules, and open enrollment configurations.
Oversee onboarding and workforce management processes to ensure seamless transitions and operational alignment.
Validate and troubleshoot data flows to maintain high levels of data integrity.
Collaborate cross‐functionally to ensure smooth integrations and operational excellence.
System Configuration & Optimization
Configure and optimize Workday HCM modules to meet evolving business needs.
Design workflows and features that follow best practices and enhance user experience.
Manage system upgrades, enhancements, and releases, ensuring minimal disruption and effective adoption.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to HR data, processes, and workflows.
Reporting, Analytics, and Maintenance
Develop advanced reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights on headcount, turnover, demographics, and performance.
Conduct regular data audits to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
Maintain data governance and manage security configurations for sensitive HR data.
Training & User Support
Train and support HR staff and end‐users on Workday modules and new features.
Create and maintain user guides and training materials to support adoption.
Act as a trusted resource to troubleshoot and resolve end‐user questions.
Change Management & Process Improvement
Support change management efforts for new features, upgrades, and implementations.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and improve system efficiency.
Lead or participate in testing activities to ensure successful rollout of enhancements.
Compliance & Security
Ensure all configurations and processes comply with applicable labor laws and organizational policies.
Monitor and maintain Workday security settings to safeguard sensitive data.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree in HR, IT, or Business Administration.
3+ years of experience administering and configuring Workday Compensation and Benefits.
Experience configuring
merit, bonus, and open enrollment cycles .
Strong knowledge of Workday security configurations, user access management, and reporting.
Excellent problem‐solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
Strong communication skills with a proven ability to train and support end‐users.
Preferred: Master's degree.
Workday HCM Certification.
Experience integrating with benefit plan vendors (e.g., Anthem, AwardCo).
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management best practices.
Location & Work Flexibility
Primary Location:
Atlanta, GA (hybrid schedule, minimum 3 days onsite; preference for 5 days onsite).
Secondary Locations Considered:
Dallas, TX; Traverse City, MI; Lafayette, LA.
Remote work option may be considered for exceptional candidates.
